Sponsored Boat Race
A sponsored boat race is one way to raise money for your favourite charity/s through C.A.I. But there are many other ways that are also fun for everyone involved.
Other events could include water skiing, water skating, paragliding, swimming, swimming races, row-boat racing, abseiling races, outdoor boat restaurant buffets and midnight boat dinner parties. Charging entry fees in addition to sponsorship will help make your event even more successful. |
Sponsored Bicycle Ride
This could be a leisurely ride in the country or something more competitive like a race.
Organise any type of cycling event including even one to show off fancy bikes for show! Organise a cycling course with your friends, neighbours and relatives. Find sponsorships for your event/s so as to increase the total you are able to raise. You can also sell C.A.I. tee-shirts for the events to raise public awareness as well as funds for your charity/s through C.A.I.! |

Sponsored Swimming Race
Hold a big swimming event! Whether it be a race, an endurance competition or some other kind of swimming event, you can have competitors raise money through sponsorship and you can hold this kind of event any time of year because it doesn't matter if it's raining!
A water volleyball or polo tournament, a diving competition and an underwater snorkelling search are other similar ideas for watery events that can benefit the charity of your choice through the C.A.I. Project! |
Sponsored Walks
Walking on the beach, in the woods, or country walks can be healthy, invigorating & a great way to raise money for your favourite charity/s through C.A.I.
Wear a C.A.I. tee-shirt on your walk so as to bring attention to C.A.I., and ask those who accompany you to donate to their favourite charity/s though C.A.I. This kind of event can be held monthly and become a regular form of exercise as well as a charity event that everyone looks forward to. |

Jogging
A jogging event will not only benefits your cause but can help the participants lose weight and get fit. Everyone wins!
There are many related activities you can host such as long sponsored walks, backwards walks, sack race, crawling race, three-legged race, egg & spoon race, skateboarding event, roller-skating event, skipping competition etc. Ask entrants and spectators alike to make a donation toward the charity/s of their choice through C.A.I. |
Running
For the more physically fit, a 1,000-metre dash. 1-mile runs, 2-mile runs, 3-mile runs etc. are great themes for a charity event.
Other kinds of event could be somersault races, rolling in an inner tube race, rolling side-ways, pole-vaulting, long jump, hurdles and other athletic activities. Be imaginative! There are unlimited sporting events you could organise to raise money for your favourite charity/s through the C.A.I. Project.
Sprinting, marathons, treks & walks, cycling, swimming, triathlons, pole-vaulting, parachuting/skydiving, paragliding etc. are all exciting and fun for everyone involved whether they are participants or spectators. Raise money through sponsorship and entry fees and use your event to unite your local community. |
In Memory Of Someone
Honour the memory of someone you love by collecting money for a cause they cared about.
Grow and sell flowers or produce, make and sell arts and crafts etc. - these and other ideas could raise a sizeable amount to reach your target for giving. Perhaps you could organise a flower arranging contest with an entry fee per contestant and prize for the winner. Afterwards you could sell or auction the arrangements in order boost the donations further. |

Personal Occasion
Celebrate a special occasion by raising money for a charity through the C.A.I. Project!
It could be a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, a birth etc. Hold a celebratory dinner and make a charge per plate to raise enough to reach your target sum of £1k or even £10k! The sky is the limit and the more you raise the more you will be doing to benefit your favourite charity/s! You can also sell commemorative gifts and photographs after the event to raise even more money |
Use Your Imagination
Be inventive - dye your hair or shave your head, grow a beard or shave half you beard off, give up smoking or do nothing... Hold a big pizza night in with a movie for all your friends, family and neighbours, or a fund-raising dinner party with each guest contributing £25 per plate toward the charity of your choice through the C.A.I. Project!

Sell off all your old unwanted brick-a-brack and raise money for the charity/s of your choice through the C.A.I. Project!
What do you have in your loft or basement that you don't need? What about your garage or around your house? Why not sell off all the things that you no longer need or use and donate the proceeds to make a lasting difference supporting the charity/s of your choice through the C.A.I. Project?! |
Bake Sale
Be inventive - bake cookies/biscuits of every shape and kind, cupcakes, sweets of every type, including cakes for every occasion, selling these to not only cover your cost but to also help you reach your target of support for the charities you wish to help through C.A.I.
Make this a monthly event that you and all of your friends and neighbours can do on a never-ending basis so as to help the charities of your choice through C.A.I.! Get your friends and neighbours to give £5 or £10 toward their own inclusion in this! |

Tug-O-War!
Hold a Tug-o-War contest! Use a combination of entrance fees and sponsorships to raise hundreds of pounds for your charity through C.A.I. And if you arrange to have a pool of water or mud between the two sides it will make for even more fun!

Art Exhibition
Hold a huge art exhibition to benefit the charity/s of your choice through C.A.I, for £10 per entrant for 10 pictures, including 10% of what each painting or print sells for!
Use a large gymnasium for your art exhibition, or a large community centre, or even in a local park where passers-by can take part in browsing through all the art works that are available to see! You may even hold an auction for the sale of paintings, as this may raise substantially more than the minimum each artist might otherwise want for their paintings! |

Guess The Weight!
Fill up a jar with a large number of jelly beans or some other type of sweet, and offer £5 or £10 or perhaps some other kind of prize to anyone who can accurately guess the weight!
It could be an awful long time before anyone could guess the weight correctly and at £1 per go you could be clocking up a lot of money for your favourite charity/s through the C.A.I. Project! If you set up at a fairground or picnic encampment or park you could make this event one to remember for all time! |
Disco Party
Hold a huge Disco Party to benefit the charity/s of your choice, for an entrance fee of £25 per entrant, including refreshments! Use a large gymnasium for your Disco Party, or a large community centre. You may even decide to sell coffee, tea or other beverages separately to increase the total you are able to bring in for the event! You may choose have a theme for the party and invite entrants to wear costumes and you can also offer a wide variety of additional types of entertainment so as to make your event an even bigger success!

Apple Dunking!
Here's where the fun starts!
Fill up a huge trough with water and put about a dozen apples in it! At £5 per go, the winner getting £25, it could take an awful lot of dunking before those apples were all collected! And this way you can raise a huge sum of money for the charity/s of your choice through the C.A.I. Project! This is very popular event in the summer and if you make this a recurring event everyone can look forward to it on a regular basis! |
Buffet Dinners
Hold a huge buffet dinner for as many people as you can find who enjoy food, all for £10, 20 or £25 per plate! At that rate by the end of a very busy evening you could have raised £1k for the charities of your choice through the C.A.I. Project!
And don't forget the desert trays either, as that will attract entrants the same as attracting ants! Do this on a monthly basis so that everyone will look forward to it on a regular basis! |
