Conditions
- All people that will be involved in the Concert Artistes International Project will need to adhere to Equal Opportunities Employment, Race Discrimination and other policies, of which details will be made available on the Governing Docs page as needed.
- C.A.I. musicians must be aged 18 or over, and must become at least Representative members of C.A.I. if they are to work for pay with C.A.I. on a permanent basis.
- Charities to benefit must be in the interests of the majority of people.
- Churches or political parties cannot financially benefit from funds raised, although they can direct the proceeds at their events to the charity/s of their choice through C.A.I.
- Musicians may take up part of or a full concert event.
- C.A.I. musicians must eventually be a holder of at least a grade 8 level certificate with the ABRSM or equivalent, once they can be paid at Union rates for at least 4 services per month by the C.A.I. Project.
- Music on C.A.I. programmes must include rhythm with a melody.
- Music on C.A.I. programmes must not be too repetitious, excessively loud in volume or with religious lyrics.
- To ensure that all musicians and personnel working within C.A.I. will understand that as C.A.I. is a secular non-religious, non-political and non-racist organisation, that no attire of a religious, political or racist nature will be worn whilst working for or representing C.A.I. Dress attire must conform to what is traditional for the Country of residence in which the work is carried out as a gesture of a willingness to integrate into that society.
- To work with people from age 18 and upwards from all backgrounds to promote their talents and achieve their full potential.
- To pay all musicians up to then in accordance with the Musicians' Union and the Incorporated Society of Musicians rates, but no more than the above recommended rates.
- To take a stand against unfair preferential treatment practices as these will not be tolerated within C.A.I., and those who support these practices will not be permitted involvement in the C.A.I. Project.
- To guarantee that Trustee Board Members will select applicants based on their suitability, and that applicants will be auditioned by an audition committed behind an unlit partition ensuring that their identity is not revealed, so that they are chosen purely on their musical merit alone.
- To make every effort to expand this programme to include and represent most forms of music, which will include but not be limited to what is shown on the official C.A.I. poster which can be downloaded from a link at the bottom of every page of this website.
- To ensure that all charities represented by the C.A.I. Project are supported on an equal basis, with no group of charities being shown favouritism through fundraising events.
In furtherance of its objects, Concert Artistes International shall be apolitical and non-sectarian in its outlook and work.
